I loved the wide array of diversity in this book and how seamlessly these characters attributes were introduced to the reader. I enjoyed the world building and the conflict. I was not a fan of the pacing—everything wrapped up and all the secrets were revealed in the last 25 pages. I also felt

Yerran and Furi’s relationship was forced and unrealistic. I needed more build.

I am excited for the sequel.

I'm not a huge romantasy fan, but this did skew YA to me and was a bit too slow burn. I wanted more war or more sex!
