Loved this book. It's the first in the Mercy Thompson series. Mercy is an auto mechanic and a shapeshifter. Her neighbor is Adam, the leader of the area wolf pack. The book begins with a young man looking for a job, but Mac is more than just a man. He smells like a werewolf and a new one at that. Mercy quickly becomes entangled in the mystery surrounding Mac and helping Adam. A great book full of action, werewolves, gremlins and more.

It was pretty okay. Easy to read. I enjoyed the story but it's not mindblowing by any means. I appreciate that romance didn't really come into play for most of the book
I picked this initially because it was a choice from the Vaginal Fantasy group, and I assumed it would be pure smut. And there was almost NO SMUT!
But I'm okay with that because it was well-written and had great world building. I love the Kate Daniels series, but I find this one almost more believable (which is a hilarious comment, I realize, about urban-fantasy) and maybe easier to relate to? Not sure.
A coworker of mine would call this book a good "snack," meaning it's not going to change your life (I assume) but is a fun, quick read. I'm officially jumping on the Briggs Train!!
