it took me a long time to get into this book but once i did it was a very fun adventure 

i like the characters, although from evangeline’s perspective things can get a little TOO reflective. i don’t want to be fed her steam on conscious all the time bc she constantly thinks she understands something even if she doesn’t which can get annoying.

excited to see where the romance goes though.

This was such a whimsical and magical story. I loved the beautiful descriptions and the overall feeling. It felt like I was in a fairytale. It was such a fun read that I easily found myself getting lost it. It was exactly what I needed after all the dark romance I usually read.
Can’t wait to read The Ballad of Never After, which I made sure to get before I finished this one.

i fear this might be a 5 star series. it's really like modern queen fairytale. it's so whimsical and beautiful and unique. LOVED IT. not 5 stars bc im not sure yet.... might be s 5 star series i fear

This is absolutely not what I expected this series to be after all the booktube girlies have been talking about it this year. Much more whimsicle, and I absolutely dig it. 4.5 stars.
