⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ oh wow, what a wonderful novel of love, loss, family and friendships. The characters are all written and locations beautifully portrayed. I felt as though I was tagging along. Highly recommend

The Crash is such a beautiful and emotional story! I love the concept, and it was told so well with amazing characters that I was kept completely captivated. I think the different POV’s worked well with this book and I was drawn to each character and their story. I flew through the pages easily and gobbled up every word. I think I read something similar before but that didn’t matter, this was still unique and enthralling. I can definitely see this being a movie, and one that I would love as much as I loved this book! Fans of Jojo Moyes, Jodi Picoult and Diane Chamberlain will fall head over heels for this emotional and unforgettable story about making every second count.

I feel like this could've been a really well written short story. At some points this story moved very quickly and at others it moved very slowly. I couldn't get super invested into the story, but it was a quick read.

This was my second read of Catherine Miller’s books and just like The missing piece this was heartbreaking and heartwarming in equal measure. With hearts playing a major part in both books this time it’s around organ donation.

I have to say I instantly remembered the warmth of her writing as I was drawn into the story of Susan and Mike. From their meeting at the school disco to their stale marriage many years later and Susan’s idea of recapturing the spark.

Then out of nowhere along comes Zach with a chainsaw in his chest. No you did not read that wrong! It surprised me too. This was taking a turn rapidly and then I discovered he had been making a safety video about using chainsaws and the cleaner had accidentally plugged it in along with the hoover. Ironic and strangely amusing.

Also we meet Chloe who although her heart is in trouble she had mine from the get go and now she is about to get another.

This book while highlighting the importance of organ donation also manages a unique twist with organ memory. An original premise beautifully told with excuse the pun “real heart”. Characters that are ordinary people giving or receiving an extraordinary gift and second chances in more ways than one!

This is both a heartwarming and heartbreaking story about organ donation with the strong message of how love goes far beyond the physical body, even after death.

The story is told through the POVs of the donors, Mike and Susan, and the recipient's Zack and Chloe, while also going back and forth between past and present.

This is a slow burn read but with a story that blossoms beautifully, that will tug at your heartstrings until the very end.

Overall, a beautiful and enjoyable read that I would recommend to anyone who is looking for a unique love story to read.

I would like to thank the author, the publisher and NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read an ARC of this book. Having read previous books by this author I was really looking forward to it and once again I wasn't disappointed. It was beautifully written with such believable characters and I really didn't want the story to end. I will be recommending to all my friends.
