“Because I know that no matter where I am, I’ll always be home as long as I have her.”

Fantastic read, could not put it down!!

Slow burn, forced proximity, fake dating, celibacy what more could you want?

This book definitely wasn’t as spicy as her previous book however this was definitely more narrative based and the ending almost had me in tears!!♥️
I absolutely burned through this and could not put it down cannot wait for her next one!!

Spiral is a beautiful and heartfelt story. I found it an interesting approach from Khabra to set the second book in the series after college, giving the characters a more mature and realistic journey.

Elias, a shy and caring professional hockey player who knows his way around a kitchen, and Sage, an outgoing and selfless professional ballerina, are complete opposites from different worlds. Yet, they share the same struggle learning to believe in themselves. Their character growth was beautifully done, and the forced proximity trope was executed well. The backgrounds of both characters were rich and well-developed, making their struggles and triumphs feel authentic. I also loved how the epilogue tied in with the beginning of the book, bringing everything full circle.

One aspect I really appreciated was how the book didn’t shy away from disappointment. Not every main character gets exactly what they want, and that added a layer of realism that made the story even more compelling.

The reason this isn’t a full 5-star read for me is that the ending felt a bit rushed. I would have loved more insight into Elias' relationship with his biological father and how that played out. Additionally, with Sage needing to be abroad for her performances, more details on how they managed long distance would have added depth to their story.

Overall, Spiral is a wonderfully written romance with deep character development and a realistic portrayal of love and personal growth. It’s definitely worth reading.

I actually love Eli and I love sage this book was so cute

plot: this one was better than the first but i still just dont feel that connected to the characters so im gonna leave this here. i realized in my review that i wrote that aidens dad wre a piece of shit but i think it was lowkey elis ngl so whatever one of their dads is a piece of shit.

sage: she was fun. i honestly liked her she was sm better than fucking summer.

eli: i also loved him i think hes such a good guy.

romance: the romance in this one was much better. i felt like they actually liked each other. However, they are definetly getting divorced or some shit like they are not lasting.

smut: once again it was fine. it was just fun.

3 stars bc it was enjoyable but not great and these characters are breaking up for sure.
