Here for a good time, not a long time.
What I Loved:
- The humor and wit of the writing and the FMC were great. She was no holds barred when she spoke.
- Interracial couple that doesn’t use race as a barrier 🤤 There is none of the cringey, over description of the FMC’s race or the MMC’s race so that was fresh. They have other family issues that are more significant in the story.
- Characters with depth. None of the characters are picture perfect. Perfect way to make me want all of these characters individual stories.
- MMC is perfect: pierced member, carries her when her feet hurt, excels at boyfriendery, just perfect.
What was meh:
- I can’t stand when the slow burn starts burning and then they are groping each other for 3 chapters.
- The MMC was a little TOO perfect…. he was giving “this is a real relationship” like 10 pages into their fake dating scheme. So it was like the fake dating was never actually fake… they were just in a situationship.
Overall - the humor and silly goofy good time I had with this was surprising and thoroughly enjoyable ❤️

Loved this one! This was my first Bal Khabra's book and I loved the storyline and characters in this piece. It was inspirational with lots of off the page chemistry and a true page turner in my opinion.
