Spiral is the second hockey romance novel in the off the ice series that combines sports with dance for an unforgettable story. the main characters meet at a chance encounter during a hockey betting raffle and end up going on an adventurous date that leads to a fake dating scenario. both elias and sage quickly realize that they like each other more than they expected and their relationship spirals into a legitimate relationship filled with sweet moments.

I enjoyed spiral more than I was expecting to and was very surprised to see that the spice was subdued in this continuation by Bal Khabra. I’ve always been fascinated by ballet and loved that sage’s storyline involved the agonizing struggles of auditioning for a coveted role in the black swan performance, at the highest studio level. ballet is a meticulous sport that requires a lot of discipline and dedication. this was evident in the plot and was beautifully executed. the relationship between elias and sage was very sweet and heartwarming, which made me excited to read more pages in the novel. I personally liked spiral more than collide and am anticipating the release of revolve to be even better.

One word. Anger. Actually never mind, a couple more. This infuriating masterpiece has the most fuck all conflict. Yall clearly like each other, be adults and quit the stupid fake dating thing. Celibate? Brrooooo if you knowww you need sex and your man can’t deliver then do us all a favor and find someone who will instead of victim blaming and shaming him for not hoe-ing around. And Elias going non verbal cause she didn’t tell him about her ex (which honestly is so fair yall aren’t dating fr she doesn’t owe you ANYTHING) … PLEASE. Last but not least, this did NOT need two POVs, one would have been enough to tell the story cause honestly switching POVs did NOTHING to add the story. On the other hand, it harmed it. It’s been a while since Ive felt such VISCERAL feelings for a book and for that reason, I will not finish it.
