Me encanta como se apoyan, ahora ellos fingen una relación ya que a él la prensa lo tildan de un playboy y nada de cómo juega, ella desea ser tomada en cuenta en las audiciones de ballet que realiza pero no tiene suficiente seguidores, por eso ellos se benefician de la relación, pero poco a poco la relación va evolucionando.

Against all odds, I actually really liked Spiral. Both Eli and Sage have full personalities, that clash and sizzle appropriately as the story goes on. I have not read the first novel in this series, and I probably won't read the next one either--the premises don't seem like I'd enjoy them as much! The ballet aspect was definitely a draw for me, and that both characters are adults. I'm not sure "fake dating" was a necessary trope for these two, as the attraction was bordering on instalove (which y'all know I cannot stand) but they remained at arm's length long enough that it didn't rankle me. I do think there was a missed opportunity for some ace representation in Eli--not that I think

any or all asexual folks need a traumatic sexual experience in order to be ace, but I do think it could have been a good segue into him being demi, or even just a reinforcement that he's ace that ended badly due to the blackmailing

. Overall, it was very cute and I loved the way Sage found her confidence and her people.

This was such an easy and cute read! Definitely something you can breeze through and that will make you giggle if you need a break from a book with a heavier plot. While the fake dating plot itself was pretty common, it wasn’t really dragging to me, it just felt a little flat.
