Meh

I just don’t understand why they didn’t date for real from the start… like I really didnt get it.

It was fine.

literally read this book in a day, it was kind of addictive.
Things I liked:
- ballerina is just always gonna be so fun
- little brother was sweet
- solid group dynamics with the roommate and his girlfriend and the college friends
- liked that they weren't in college though! (felt like a good inbetween of Icebreaker and like Mile High)
- Elias cooking for Sage
- forced roommate and one bed trope (the sacred texts)

Things I didn't really like
- why does the girl alwaysss have like an experience where in the past she was jilted by a long-term boyfriend who plays the same sport at the elite level and then he gets transferred to the guy's team, I get having a type but like what are really the odds
- also why are the guy's parents always hella rich and then there's financial/emotional blackmail,  again what are the odds
- the use of the word celibate. I don't care if you don't want to have sex but labeling yourself "celibate" in the year of our lord 2025 just makes me wonder who you voted for
- beginning felt a little clunky with the whole auction date thing, but it resolved itself. i think it could have been reworked to be a little less convoluted

all in all, probably one of my favorite sports romances i've read in recent memory, hit all the markers without feeling too recycled and was just an overall easy read during a kind of stressful time.
