This was a really fun read for me. I liked so many characters aside from the MC’s, the growing they both had to do, and their chemistry was just so good.

I tried my best. It’s just so bad?? Writing style is not to my taste, and chemistry between the two leads is nonexistent. Maybe this is just a mood reader not being in the right mood…but life is too short for bad books.

I had to drag myself through this for the most part BUT the tension boiling over did make me giggle and kick my feet after all (after rolling my eyes at Eli about 2 million times before that). That lasted for the entirety of one chapter and then it was back to - meh. Rushed last minute conflict at the ending, unnecessary epilogue.

The entire uncle/GM storyline was getting on my nerves - just like all the other hockey details that were just slightly off. I don't mind hockey romances that feature very little actual sports but in this case, there was a fair bit, which I would then expect to be realistic.

And speaking of realism -
in what world is what they're doing celibate? There was no discussion before he just got her off multiple times and I feel like that's something that should be talked about? Also still don't get why he has the piercing. Makes no sense for his character at all.

This book felt like a comfort romcom movie, and it was exactly that.
Elias Westbrook…the man that you are…I knew I’d love you more than i loved Aiden.
Obviously five stars for this masterpiece.
