Wow! This book is so good and I can not stop thinking about it. I will admit it starts very slow and was hard to get through the first few chapters, but once it hits it’s fast on throughout. I can not get over this story, I’m someone to always see plots and this one kept me focused and unable to guess and see what would come. It is one of the longest books I’ve read and I wouldn’t even have noticed the difference cause it keeps my attention so well. I highly recommend stayed up till 2am reading one night, second one is just as good so far. Love it and is in my top three all favorite books.

I agree with a lot of the reviews here that the first chunk of the book reveals very little about what the main plot might be, making later chapters feel like their sole purpose is to dump as much information as possible to make up for how little was revealed or even foreshadowed early on.

That being said, I picked up this book because I wanted to read something different from my normal picks and be entertained by what I read, and that was exactly what this book did for me.

In some regards it feels like a fanfiction, but at these times its more funny and self-aware rather than cringe. I especeially remember a scene where the protagonist is asked about her previous love-life very early in the book. While it makes somewhat sense later it still felt very unnatural. The book also has some nice plot-twists and despite me not taking a liking to neither the protagonist nor the male-lead I found some other charatcers quite intruging and likely will be the reason I continue with the other books in the series.

This book pulled me into its world and didn't release me until the very last page.  The world building is great without being overly descriptive.

I felt like the overall pacing was fast, but there is a chunk in the middle that was a bit slower.  I'm thankful for that chunk though because that's where I understood the characters as people more and I was drawn closer to them.  There were a lot of twists, some I saw coming, others I didn't.  I didn't find Feyre likeable throughout the whole book, but I could understand why she was the way she was and I eventually did like her.

I highly recommend ACOTAR especially to anyone that wants to venture into the fantasy genre.  I'm immediately starting the next book!

Felt slow in the beginning but picked up about 55% through. Kinda expected as it’s setting up for a 5 part series but onto the next!
