The first half of the book was a little bit slow for me, but I loved Lucian from the start, I like Feyrs as the main character. I like the second half of the book a lot more, in the second half I grew more font of Rhys I think Amarantha is a good villain. Like I said the second half of the book was way better and I am glad that I didn't DNF it, and gave it a chance...

This book was fine. It honestly felt pretty bland as far as the plot and characters went. The ending with Feyre under the mountain was pretty interesting though! I just had a hard time connecting to and rooting for Feyre, she isn’t the most likable character. We’ll see how I like the rest of the series.

**Spolier** Interesting retelling of Beauty and the Beast and then some. **/Spoiler** Certain passages were especially gruesome, see content warnings.

Lil' miss Stockholm syndrome needs to get a grip. All of these people are awful.
Tamlin is so bland and also lies so much. I looked up who she ends up with and I'm so glad its not him... although Rhys is also awful.

Anyway I had fun despite it all so 2.25 stars
