This book had all the red flags I missed when I read twilight when I was younger. Feyre is so infuriating, she constantly is getting into trouble and listens to nobody’s advice about how dangerous the world is. Tamlin is gross: he traps her into his home, he’s hundreds of years older than her, he says that once he starts having sex he can’t stop himself (so she needs to consent to not having consent?)..
The things that were done to her (drugging her, tattooing her, painting her naked body, licking her, kissing her -ALL WITHOUT CONSENT) and her body were hard to read. I don’t get it!!

I enjoyed this book from start to finish. I wasn't head over heels for it but i did really enjoy it. There are some parts I really liked: Nesta's character development is amazing and I wish I get to see more of her in the books to come, Rhysand won me over as well (as an intresting character, because I don't really like him as a love intrest), really intresting set up for him and the way he gets more involved and keeps his mysterious nature, the world building in general is top notch and makes me want to know more.
I wished the first part would be a bit shorter and the second part, the adventure, would be a bit longer, I think it had potential.
I will say that the relationship between the characters is kinda problematic because of the power dinamic......
But in the end, I'm exited to read the next books

It was okay. Some of the darker parts didn’t feel like they fit the setting. I think it was supposed to have a dark fairy tale feel, but it never completely achieved it in my opinion. Some cool descriptions of setting.

Not a fan of the “spicy” content, but some people like that. Seemed a bit cringey at some points to me. Romance storyline was a bit disappointing. To be fair, I don’t particularly read for romance. This one definitely wasn’t good enough for me to care much for it. Sometimes it felt like things were thrown in to make it more adult that didn’t quite fit.

A few of the side characters I grew to like, but MC I only barely liked (didn’t love her.) I felt very neutral about the love interest. I didn’t like or dislike him, another thing making the romance boring to me.

Interesting plot with some successful foreshadowing. Plot was intriguing enough.

ACOTAR is an engaging retelling  of beaty and the beast. The main character has some interesting development but also can come off as a bit passive, which i dislike.

The world building  and pacing was inconsistent which really bothered me, as well as some strange description choices by the author.

Nonetheless, I enjoyed this read.
