Quite enjoyable. Probably going to treat it as a standalone, tho. I have no desire to read about all the twist and turns and character 180s I know are coming.

This book- and entire series, are the best of every fantasy/romance series without the worst of it. The world-building is astoundingly detailed, without boring the reader with too much. I've found my new favorite series.

I originally gave this 5 stars when I first read it, but after reading the rest of the series and rereading the first, I have to give it 4.75 just so that I can give the second book 5 stars. ACOTAR is great, but ACOMAF is superb

🌶🌶🌶.5/5

This book surprised me so much! It pulled me from a years-long reading slump. This is such a unique story that I’ve never read before. The author has fresh ideas with twists and turns you’ll never see coming. I could barely put it down ! If you like fantasy, you need to read this book!

I have never been more grateful for a book for the lone purpose of the protagonist being 19. She was realistic in how she viewed the world without being obnoxious or helpless to fate. I appreciate her for this.

<spoilers>I'd also like to say I'm proud of myself for figuring out the answer to the riddle quite quickly. It was easy because of the common themes in the book and how the Antagonist centered all of her actions around one thing. Riddles often have simple answers. The writing and foreshadowing in the first three quarters of the book really helped to make the answer obvious to the reader(in my opinion).<spoilers>
