It’s poorly written, and I honestly can’t stand myself for saying this, but I’m a SJ Maas stan. I ate that book up on a road trip until it was dark outside. It’s the ending that had me hooked.

Maybe 2.5 stars would be more accurate than just a 2 star?? I mean it was boring at first it but then it got pretty good by the end, I didn't care about the characters that much but gosh did I hate Rhysand, not sure why anyone would like him when he's literally awful, the villain was evil too but her evilness felt cartoonish, not sure if I like that or not tbh. The romance didn't make that much sense to me, like why did Feyre and Tamlin even fell for each other ??? I didn't get it, so yeah idk what to feel about this book really but then again it's better than I was expecting so... That's good I guess

Probably the fastest paced book I've ever read haha. I wanted to get back into fantasy and this did not disappoint! Fayre was a likeable main character

I don’t understand the hype of this book? The writing is poor and repetitive and barely anything happens. I’m going to give the second book a shot because the bar can’t get much lower and some of the characters are incredibly interesting but my hopes are not high.
