I thought I’d say I liked this one more than the first, and for the first 80% I did. I don’t dislike the ending but man I was hoping for a more positive outcome iykyk. Like woah. How was this more devastating than book 1???

I really enjoyed this read, but it just didn’t hold me like book 1 did. There were definitely some emotional moments, but the story seemed to drag on a bit. I will be reading book 3!

Not for me. The first book was good but I don’t have enough invested in this town or hockey to care about more books in this series.

Fredrik Backman ripped my heart into shreds for the second time around. I super duper love this book and I think, it’d be my top favorite in the Beartown series (for now since, I haven’t read The Winners yet

I absolutely loved Beartown so I was excited to read the second in the trilogy. For some reason this fell a bit flat to me. The new characters were not as well developed and the plot dragged at points. That being said I overall enjoyed this installment and would definitely read the third when it comes out. If nothing else I want to know what happens to Benji.
