All the stars in the world for this series!
I just love this books, the characters, the story, and the author, I'm really bummed there's no Harper though, and I'm gonna have to ask the author about her (not that she'll see it lol)... but I love this books from cover to ending, they're refreshing in a way even though they might be the typical N.A book in some ways, but to me they're beyond special.

Not for the faint of heart here. This one was definitely a little crazier than the other two.

Always a fan of a heroine who doesn't turn into a limp dishrag when she finds her douchy boyfriend cheating on her. It's okay to fall apart later, but not right then. So props, Madeline!

Adorable read. Loved both characters.

It was such an easy read!
Compared to Dani and Jax, I felt way more connected to Maddie and Daren and I really liked them both. But . But, my favourite couple will forever be Clam and Gavin. I just simply love them deeply.

The book itself was enjoyable, a bit predictive, but still fun!

If you had told me at the beginning of Dearest Clementine that I would read this book and like it, I would've told you that you were crazy. By the end of Dearest Clementine I had opened up to the idea of reading Daren's book though. That doesn't mean I didn't drag my feet a little before I read it though. In the end though, I think this one was my favorite of the series.
I had to respect Daren. Yeah, he messed up big time, but at least he never made excuses and really fessed up to you. And Maddie, I'm glad she was able to come to her senses on her own. It was very mature of her.

And that epilogue was to die for!

All three books in this series were super enjoyable, and I especially recommend the audiobooks.

I love how Lex Martin writes. This series is a great mix between super hot and genuinely sweet. I thought the second book in the series was my favorite but Daren and Maddie are making me rethink that. I've been bingeing on NA romances lately and for me have found the good ones require amazing chemistry between the leads, great supporting characters, and believable issues that threaten their relationship. In too many books I like the characters but find the plot forced or too neatly orchestrated to feel real. In each book of this series there's good, sink your teeth in angst and conflict. It all made sense. I find reading this series to be effortless. I'm sucked in within a chapter and can't put them down. Each one was a read late into the night because I had to keep going and then was suddenly I reached the end.

Daren's charm is off the charts and it was really good to hear what happened with Clementine from his point of view. He's such a solid, good guy that he had me sighing more than once. He's such a dominant force in the book it was sometimes hard to focus on Maddie but she definitely holds her own. I saw what was coming for them before it hit but it was still tough to read. And then the epilogue just killed me. So sweet and lovely. I'm now a big fan of Martin and will have to check out what else she has out there!
