I liked this better than Delilah Green, and also I'll admit my expectations were probably more realistic.  At least this one has significantly less cringe scissoring scenes! But genuinely, I am a sucker for millennial girlie struggling with her career and family of origin trying to fall in love and get her shit together books and this is no exception. And I even like Jordan
despite the fact she's kind of whiny and wtf was the sudden reveal that Meredith was actually alive and just a bitch??? Idk I'll give Jordan credit because Meredith is the Big Bad
.

I did not like the love interest, Jordan, at first. I thought she was obnoxious. I really grew to love her though. The characters play off each other well, and I love the realization of Astrid’s queerness in this book. The confrontation of these characters’ demons is truly impactful.

I honestly did not know how this would follow up Delilah Green, but this was a truly wonderful addition to the collection of the Bright Falls series.

Cute and wholesome. I thinking enjoyed this one even more than the first. Astrid had a great character arc and she and Jordan were lovely together.

This was a re-read for me, and the book was just as good the second time around. I love Astrid's journey of trying to figure out her identity and how that fits into her views of herself and how others have viewed her. I also love Jordan's journey of learning what love can look like again and learning to trust herself and her feelings. Also you can't go wrong with a renovation as the backdrop of the story.
