Juliet Stevenson's narration of one of Austen's two best novels is perfection.

Ok so... firstly im not a native english speaker so when i decided to read persuasion in english when im not customed to reading in english was ,lets say a mistake. There wer some parts were i got confused with the storyline and even the charactrers but i knew what was going on i just dont remember details.A big part of my misunderstandment was because i was so "excited" to read a book at its "original" language but i should have started with a more modern book.(i may reread this in the future just to see if it kicks differently)

i had high expectations for this book since i’ve heard people say it’s jane austen’s most beautiful book or something like that. it was beautiful but idk

i sort of felt as if i needed to see anne and wentworth’s past relationship to actually be able to be attached to them as a couple bc throughout the book it was just him ignoring her and stuff 😭. it didn’t make me like him all that much. i did think that the letter thing was cute though!

This is my first Jane Austen novel and I must say that it was a disappointment. I was very bored most of the time. I do hope I enjoy her other novels more. Snooze fest.
