This is my third book of TJR and she always delivers.
This book was such an interesting read, even though I am not into tennis. Now I feel like watching the French Open.

I love that the author doesn’t shy away for painful experiences, I loved the descriptions of Carrie’s emotions.
And the interviews and news articles are a good way to shake up the book.

Also: Carrie is reading an unauthorized biography of Daisy Jones, I find that hilarious.

I played tennis a total of two times in my life. I hated it.
But I trust Taylor Jenkins Reid and she did NOT disappoint. This was so much fun to read.
You know those books that you need to read 50, 100 or so pages to really start to get into them? This is not one of them. I was hooked from page 1.
The writing and characterization are, once again, incredible. Carrie is not the type of character that I particularly relate to, but I found myself very much inspired by her. I felt a sense of connection, of understanding to her.
Carrie Soto Is Back is about winning and losing in all of its forms and all that comes in between.

It was great getting to know Carrie Soto and what drives her. After reading Malibu rising I did not really like Carrie. And after reading this book I am still not sure if I do. But I understand her motivitations. This book shows the complexity of humans and that even when they appear to be cold hearted and mean, the can be so much more and that they are still capable of having feelings. We tend to forget or ignore that when we dislike someone, but knowing why they act the way they do, it brings a new perspective. And I love the way Jenkins is able to portray her as this whole person and really let the reader belobe that she is a real person and the we truly know her inside and out.
