Why all TJR's characters seem real? Carrie could be a real tennis player like Serena Williams. She so flawed that we can relate with her. All her dreams are goal-oriented: be the best on her field. The lessons that she learned can help a lot of people. And the ending? It was perfection. But not surprising, after all we couldn't expect less from the genius named Taylor Jenkins Reid.

Another "incomparable" page turner from Taylor Jenkins Reid. There is no Author better at a beach read, or a faux celebrity memoir. Soapy, and somehow not overly sentimental, and twists your heart hard enough to make you cry despite yourself.

Holy crap I LOVED this book! So fast paced, so fun. I flew through it, went from being in a slump to finishing a book in about 5 hours. The suspense was killing me at every game. Also, THE CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT! Actual tears came out of me in the last chapter because I was just so proud of Carrie and the way she evolved emotionally throughout the book. Incredible.
