I really liked the representation in this book, and the lesson/message at the end. But I had a tough time connecting with the characters. I'm the polar opposite of a gym bro, and a lot of it takes place in a gym, so maybe that's why?
IDK they both seemed to be pretty flat characters too, like they were interested in working out and doing their jobs and not much else. As an introvert (which, they are both supposed to be homebody types) I can say that we still have plenty of interests that we don't have to leave the house for!

Graphic: Body shaming, Cursing, Fatphobia, and Sexual content
Moderate: Grief
Minor: Death, Alcohol, Death of parent, and Racism

Overall, I enjoyed seeing an Asian-American female be at the epicenter of body positivity throughout the book. For instance, "you can love your body AND go to the gym...they're not mutually exclusive."
Other things I enjoyed included a blog post that talked about the "myths about being curvy:"
1. curvy people must be unhealthy
2. curvy people must be lazy and unmotivated
3. curvy people are sad, lonely, and have low self-esteem
4. curvy people only exercise to lose weight
I did think the third-act break-up was silly. The media blew up over a curvy influencer being with a fit male and when he tries to stick up for her/their relationship, she wants to be all "strong, independent woman" and manage it on her own. He tells her he did it because he loves her and she broke up with him because that was "the worst possible time" to say it. Later, she talks with her friend who tells her that he was getting dragged through the mud too, so he should get a chance to stick up for himself.

I read Set On You this one is obviously about a fitness influencer which I'm rating 4 stars I actually really liked this book I really liked the writing I really liked the storyline of this book and I loved the couple in this book it was just really cute and sweet it is basically about Crystal and she is a fitness influencer at the gym she kind of gets into a little bit of a non-verbal non-physical arguments like they just kind of do things to annoy each other at the gym and then they find out that they have this like mutual connection and then the story goes on from there I will say that Amy Lea did this where I feel like whenever Authors write influencers I feel I don't like it if the main character is an influencer because I feel like authors just don't get it like I feel it's just not very realistic a lot of the times and I will say that Amy Lea did it in a way that was not cringy that I didn't feel was too out of the box and I really liked it

skimmed through most of it and the third act break up pissed me off. too much of it was focused on the side story and not enough on their time together
