crystal was insufferable. she constantly pushed her insecurities onto scott and a few seconds later realized she was wrong, apologized, then did the same thing in 50 more pages. how scott put up with her is insane. i can't believe he only got mad at her once. also adding that their grandparents are together is such a weird plot point like why?

adored this book. I loved Crystal, who was strong, funny, and relatable. Scott was the perfect love interest, a fictional man that I will be thinking about for a long time. I really liked the influencer element of this book and all the gym banter. Crystal and Scott had INTENSE chemistry. To summarize, I would absolutely recommend this book. I couldn’t put it down!

I really enjoyed this book. I loved how it taclked a very modern and prevalent problem in women's lives... The constant barrage of fat shaming, diet culture, and cyberbullying on social media all while being fed the message that is something wrong with you if you do not love yourself.

I really appreciated how Crystal's character grew throughout the book. Yes, the misunderstanding was annoying, as was her pushing away Scott, but I can completely understand it. As a plus size woman, I can see how the comments could easily get under her skin and make her self doubt and lose confidence. For many people, that makes you want to retreat into yourself and push others away.

In the beginning of the book she came across a bit immature and like she was hiding behind this "instagram" identity. As she began to focus on self-acceptance over the need to love yourself 100% of the time, we saw a dramatic shift in her mindset and a willingness to share her true self with others.

Scott was perfection. He was open, honest, and so loveable. I loved how patient he was with Crystal and how he respected her boundaries.

Scott and Crystal complemented each other so well. I appreciated how this book illustrated how personal insecurities can effect a relationship and how trust can be so difficult for people who have been burned.

I mean, this would have had me at Chris Evans inspired hero and an absolutely adorable cover, but the real shining point of this book is how much it focuses on our main character Crystal and her journey. The themes of self acceptance and toxicity on social media are very well done, while the premise of the central relationship is sweet enough to be a great balance to the heavier topics. Plus, I can't wait for Tara's book!!
