I like how the chapters alternate between then and now. Had a great pace and the ending wasn't a huge surprise but I can deal with that. I can't wait to get the third book!
Book 2 had me looking forward to each chapter...I'm not sure how I feel about the lead in into book 3 but I'll find out soon enough!
A rarity: I liked the second book in a series MORE than the first.
I want more.
Spoiler
I might be in the minority, but I liked Julian and Lena. I get their pairing more than I get Lena and Alex. I felt that their situation made their attraction to one another make more sense than Lena and Alex.I want more.
WOW! I LOVEDDD THIS BOOK!!

Pandemonium the second to [b:Delirium|11614718|Delirium (Delirium, #1)|Lauren Oliver|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1327890411s/11614718.jpg|10342808] was quite a book. It picks up with Lena on the other side of the wall, in the Wilds. Without Alex, assuming he is dead. Lena’s old life is gone, the old Lena is gone. Everything has changed.
It goes back and forth from past and present tense, of her time in the Wilds, to where she is now and what is currently happening. At first that perspective was hard for me to get into, and once something got good an interesting it would switch! Eventually chaos breaks loose and this book really gets going on both sides and I just couldn’t put it down.
Lena has joined the resistance and has been given an assignment to watch Julian Fineman, youth leader of the DFA (Deleria Free America). When a public attack breaks out, she winds up kidnapped with Julian, and what was once an intel assignment has now become a fight for escape and survival. She knows Julian can’t be trusted, he is one of THEM, but during their dark times spent together, trying to fight their way out, an alliance is formed. The alliance turns to a bond, and that bond to love…..duh right?! This is one of those books, when you see the light at the end of the tunnel, there’s a massive cave in and you have to find a new way out. The silver linings are very small, and it really makes you kind of want to chuck it at times. Lena discovers so much in this book. Secret alliances, and corruption, and pretty much betrayal from those she trusted. People she thought she had lost forever are not so lost anymore. I don’t like spoilers but let’s just say she really has to fight for what she wants in this book, despite everything she’s gone through and is up against now. You see massive changes in the character you knew in book one.
I will say that I was so against another love interest, Alex was it for me, but with time I grew to love Julian just like Lena did.

The moments in the dark together, his innocence and ignorance to the harsh realities of the world, make shim appealing. Wanting to learn, and understand, and experience…with Lena. Though Lena was hesitant at first I think Julian helps her heal, despite the predicament they are in, he helps her see light, and her old wounds start to heal. I think she just enjoys the attention and sense of ownership, almost like this is her boy and she won’t give this one up. For anything.
I will say don’t start this without the third, [b:Requiem|9593913|Requiem (Delirium, #3)|Lauren Oliver|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1340992438s/9593913.jpg|14480925] on hand because it leaves you with your jaw on the floor and kind of screaming and flailing a bit.

Loved it, great book, great series! 5 stars!

QUÉ CLASE DE FINAL ES ESE LAUREN OLIVER?! ME ESTÁS JODIENDO?!!!
