This book was not extremely interesting until the end. That plot twist though? Dang!
OH MY GOD
That is it. That's all I can say.
REQUIEM WHY ARE YOU NOT OUT YET?! I CANNOT WAIT.

A good sequel. The ending clearly indicates another book. This book goes back and forth from the past (continuing from the end of the first book) and the present, which takes the protagonist into a subversive world and a character that starts as an adversary, but becomes a friend and more.
Wow...fantastic action and moving story lines...can't wait for final book to come out. Loved it!
I love this series! The world, the characters, everything about it. I even loved the format of this book, going back and forth between "then" and "now," and seeing it all come together at the end. And speaking of the ending...holy crap! I cannot wait for the third book.
This series just keeps getting better and better. I enjoyed the second book much more than the first book which rarely happens in a YA series for me. I love how much Lena grows as a person in the second book. She is no longer that scared and mousy little girl she was in the first book. She has become an empowered young woman and I simply love how she has embraced her belief in the "deliria". I also like that the author changed the pace of the storytelling going between now and the past to explain how Lena became the way she is now. I love all the characters in the second book as well. So many awesome things develop in this book and I can't wait to read the third one. AND THAT ENDING to the second book. OMG! Love triangle FOR THE WIN!
HOLY F**K THAT WAS SO INTENSE!!!!
The whole book was so good, at first I didn't think I'd like it at all, but as the book progressed I was so hooked and I managed to read a majority of it in one day (which I am really happy about). Some of the time it had me confused, or just a bit like "well that was sooo lucky" but then at the end it all wrapped itself up really nicely and it all made perfect sense.
ALSO...can I PLEASE talk to someone about that ending, literally didn't see that coming and I don't know if I am happy about it or not...literally thinking about it I don't know how I want it to go!!!!
I just NEED to talk to someone about this book RIGHT NOW! Otherwise I think I'll literally go insane, my mind has literally been blown and I haven't even finished the trilogy yet.
Anyway, 5 stars, amazing, mind-blown, my heart is still racing and I finished it about 10 minutes ago.
Someone just please talk to me about this book!!!!

The middle book in the trilogy, Pandemonium was less predictable than the first, and with a more interesting setting. I found the teenaged girl behaviour, not so much unrealistic, as frustrating. Fast paced drama, cliffhanger ending, and I need to know the result.
By its nature, as the second part of a series, this novel is less of a surprise and less of a scene setter than its predecessor, Delirium. It gets straight down to the plot and seems far less complex and surprising than the latter novel.
But it is still a well-written story and is steeped in love and hope, which is always a pleasure. And it is well written and fast paced and contains the salient lesson that the resistance fighters, in their damaged emotional state, having been rejected or themselves having rejected their society, can also cauterise their emotions by blocking out the past because of its painful memories, unintentionally pruning their finer and more sensitive feelings, to exchange them for anger and strength, which is also emotionally crippling. But our heroine, Lena, instinctively recognises the pitfalls of emotional numbness, and recklessly dives into her experiences of Love, Loss and Longing in a healthy and inspiring way. Perhaps this series is growing on me...
