I can't believe that these books were published 12 years ago and I'm just reading them now!! I hung on every word of this book and the jaw dropping ending has me starting the next book in the trilogy immediately! This is YA fiction at its best!

Better than the first, and the ending a bit predictable.

4.5 stars. I think Lauren Oliver is an exceptional writer! I loved this book as much as the first. However, I refused to ever let myself believe Alex was dead so I was kind of hoping Julian would be gone by the end of the book so I wouldn't have to worry about him intruding! I never felt Lena's relationship with Julian matched her relationship with Alex. The relationship with Julian just felt convenient and more like a good friendship. It was always awkward for me when they tried anything else otherwise. But I still LOVE Alex. She better be with him at the end of the next book! D:

Really good - amazingly impressive and quick-moving for a second in a trilogy. Dying for the third.

I didn't like the going back and forth from past to present so much, because it kind of took the suspense out of half the book. You knew in the past chapters that they were going to make it so you didn't worry so much.

This book kept me entertained but the ending definitely felt predictable.

Didn't think I would get into this book with the 'then' 'now' layout. But it was easy to separate the points of view. Enjoyable read.

I read Pandemonium right after Delirium and fell in love with Alex & Julian simultaneously. Lauren Oliver is one of the best writers out there... she just doesn't tell a story, she makes me fall in love with her words. Poetic, almost.

If this story was written by a mediocre writer, I would have found it annoying, how easy it was for Lena to fall for Julian... but Lauren Oliver made me feel it. Just the scene where Julian touches Lena's hair for the first time... I melted. That light touch was filled with such intensity and, right there, I wanted to be Lena... just so I could hold Julian and stare at his face while he runs his fingers through my hair. ARGH!

Spring 2013 is so far away... and I yearn for Alex and Julian already. To say that I can't wait for the conclusion of this trilogy is an understatement. I definitely have the disease and I will not be cured!
