I liked this, but the first half is a bit slow.

I really enjoyed this book it was a lot of fun. It took me a little while to get into it but by the end I was like GIVE ME MORE

Not quite as hilarious as Illuminae, but I enjoyed the interplay between the two main characters. The style reminded me of the Legend trilogy.

One odd thing that I noticed is that it was the girl who was the hornier of the two. The guy was thinking about her hair, smile, lips, stuff like that. She was often thinking about his crotch, under his clothes, and stuff like that. Usually, the stereotype is the other way around.

Regardless, I really enjoyed it and look forward to continuing the series. The last sentence of the book is definitely one I did not expect.

I'm in looovee!!!
Lara Croft meets Monument Men meets Guardians of the Galaxy and toss in a dying earth and human race . . . Eveything I didn't know I needed. I was enthralled, having a good time every single second of this masterpiece.
The main characters Jules and Mia are some of the best main characters to ever exist. So real, fun, and well rounded. Jules is my new all time favorite book boyfriend! Good grief this man is to nice, smart, and attractive. An Mia's over her kicking butt, the reason for both of their survival. I love them. Love this story. Even love the cliffhanger!!!

Little tip, have the second book on you ready to go cause you won't want to wait a second to find out what happens with this books cliffhanger.

This wasn't at all what I expected. It wasn't bad, but it was far more Indiana Jones that I expected (it's only after reading that I saw that's how it is actually how it's pitched, so that's on me). I just felt that it lacked tension and believability. I love sci-fi and I love when it feels real and fleshed out, but this almost felt like a parody of sci-fi. I liked the end but I'm in no rush for the sequel

I received this as an ARC from the publisher for an honest review.

I got a real Goonies vibe from the beginning on this one. Perhaps because I'm older than the target audience and Goonies isn't QUITE as mainstream as Indiana Jones, but that's a fair comparison too. This book was just FUN. The twists were great. A few I saw coming, but most I did not. And even the ones I did see coming didn't take away from the enjoyment in the least.

4.5 stars. Amie Kaufman and Meagan Spooner are a great writing team. I enjoyed this book as much as their Starbound series. This book is full of adventure and mysteries, but my favorite part is the character development. The story is told in chapters alternating between the main character's viewpoints, which allows the reader to really get to know them. The cliffhanger ending left me eager for the next book in the series.

I received an ARC from NetGalley. It will be released on January 9, 2018.

Re-read: 4.5*

I gave this book 4.5 stars for review.

I think the summary of this book was on point. Lara craft tome raider in space is literally how I would describe this book. I really love both characters in this novel and also both POV. I grew to adore them both and really adored jules he is def my new book boyfriend. I thought the plot was very fast moving and I was really engaged in the story. I sometimes struggled following the details of the various situations there were in. But the ending was so intriguing I need the second book NOW! I really loved this book and so excited to re-read this book and also read the sequel year!
