Simply put, I didn't pay attention at all as I was listening to this audiobook passively, so I can't say that I enjoyed it or found anything interesting or useful from it. It seemed like any other self-help mental health book I've consumed in the past. Perhaps this work is best digested in book format where I can really get into it without being passive.

This is a phenomenal book. A thorough explanation of holistic psychology with tangible tools to begin healing ones life. I appreciated the mentions of systems of oppression and how BIPOC may not be able to access safe places to do this work. It almost felt like a, too bad this may not work for you, without any other offerings of how to dismantle these systems so BIPOC are safe to do the work.

Great and well researched but the language towards the end really started catching me off guard there. Why was it so reminiscent to a cult leader’s speech lmao

Edit: googled and was so unsurprised about that throuple revelation, called it from that weird final chapter that… girl I’m so sorry I struggled between giving it <4 stars because it’s not a bad book but this just made me roll my eyes. Call me narrow minded all you want it but the way it was all just described made me eye roll… accessing the collective consciousness or something? What

Edit again: never mind I will not let my personal biases affect this review. Keeping it 4 stars
