Oof, I really wanted to like this book but there were too many characters, storyline and timelines to keep track of.
It took me a little while to get into this, but once I did I was hooked.
Always take a recommendation from Melody Johnston
I was a huge fan of Kate’s other works. This one was disappointing because it seemed a combination of Sara’s Key and Atonement. I was also disappointed that the story ended with out any of the major players knowing the whole story.
Oh my god. Sitting here with tears in my eyes after finishing. So many stories all connected through time. So many tiny details. Absolutely unbelievable.
I got lost in the time shifts and characters a few times, but listening to Joanne Froggatt read is a delight.
Story was good but Infuriating. I was frustrated with some of the characters. Also, I feel like there were some storylines that were not completed.
Loved this book. Just like the other books by Kate Morton the book switches back and forth through time weaving it's dark mystery. It kept me spellbound until the very end. If you like Kate Morton's other books, don't wait to read this one. You will love it also
This may be one of the best books I’ve ever read. It’s the first Kate Morton I’ve picked up but it was incredible. Possibly better saved for an cozy fire and blankets during the winter but don’t let that stop you. Pay close attention, though, the true perfection of this book is in the tiny details.
