I was not expecting to love this so much

A Christian romance that had not only a good plot but GREAT CHEMISTRY and didn’t feel cringy.

The only thing I will comment is how I keep forgetting this book is set in the 1800’s. There want too much of a distinction, so if you NEED all the details of a historical novel, this will bug you.

Also the last big just seemed to drag. We had some characters just flat out refusing to make choices. Some people found this predicable but I found it fun.

Can’t wait to read the rest!!!

3.5 stars.

Little sisters always make books better... Or for the most part they do, and the sister relationship between Greta and Astrid was so sweet! I loved getting to read about them and how Greta was trying to protect, help, and raise Astrid.

Even if the hero had a very common name his character wasn't quite as common, at all. Wyatt McQuaid's character arc was a favorite, I just love reading about characters who realize they aren't what they were once told or they grow from their pasts.

As to "A Cowboy For Keeps" plot line it was well done, I wasn't surprised by anything that happened but that didn't upset me.

In all this was a nice kick off to Jody Hedlund's first venture into telling a cowboy's story and new series, Colorado Cowboys. I am looking forward to seeing what happens next in the series and Jody Hedlund's writing career.

18+ due to romantic content and suggestions from a nasty guy.

I voluntarily received and reviewed a complimentary e/copy of this book which I received from the author/publisher. All views expressed are only my honest opinion.

Great start to this new series by Jody Hedlund!

I’ll be honest. I am a sucker for a good western story. Probably something to do with my love of that era, and Jody Hedlund brought it to life in the most adventurous of ways, through a marriage of convenience story! I liked Greta from the first page until the end, watching her grow through the story was touching. Wyatt was deep. I loved his nature and his thought process he had good insight, and a good sense of humor at times. Overall, the story is just what I needed to sit back, relax, and know that I was in for a good ride. Plus, have I mentioned the GORGEOUS cover? It is even better in person. I am really looking forward to where Jody Hedlund will take this series next.

This is a solid 4 1/2 stars for me. I wish you could give half stars on here! This was a great cowboy romance with marriage of convenience, forced proximity, and lots of clean sizzle and chemistry. I loved it!

This is going to rank as one of my favorite Jody books no question. I adored Wyatt, what a cowboy hero! Astrid was a hoot and Judd was a great secondary character. The story line was really good and I enjoyed the story watching Greta and Wyatt find their happily ever after. All in all, a fantastic start to the Colorado Cowboys series and I can not wait for the rest of the series!!

I received this book from the publisher and was not required to post a positive review. All thoughts are my own.

I haven't read a cowboy romance in several months and have had this particular one recommended multiple times. I haven't been in the biggest mood for one in quite sometime so I was due. There's just something fun about a western adventure.
The chemistry between Greta and Wyatt is phenomenal. I loved their shared moments and the development of their relationship within a marriage of convenience.
There was a little bit of back and forth towards the end of will they, won't they, which I'm not a huge fan of, but, otherwise, this book was great. I'm happily anticipating the rest of the series and eager to return to Fairplay, Colorado, and the McQuaid family.
