Thus ends the Abnett/Lanning Era of the Guardians. Everything ties together from the timry-wimey to the darkness lurking beneath Adam Warlock. Technically not a cliffhanger, but this flows right into Thanos Imperitive.

EDIT: Forgot that the awesome Realm of Kings one-shot was in this trade. I am a sucker for Cthulhu Mythos, so the Eldritch Avengers is right up my alley.

So the cosmic adventures of the Guardians of the Galaxy continue with The church of truth and the obvious threat of Adam Warlock in the centre of the story. Things are not as they seem though and the conclusion is shockingly good.

Loving the Guardians of the Galaxy. Their modus operandi seems to be get into an impossible situation and then solve it. Liking the art and I love that Bug from the Micronauts is included.

This was definitely the weakest of the volumes. There was just way too much dead/not dead junk going on, with weak reasoning behind it all. Also the whole weird tentacle pregnancy thing was a no. I don't know if it was all the events or the end of the comic, but this ended up being just a jumble in general. Also, fuck
Spoiler Phyla-Vell
dying pretty much futilely.

A wee bit too cosmic and tied up with 2008 Marvel happenings for my liking, but the Guardians hold it together.
