Reviews for Bowie: Stardust, Rayguns & Moonage Daydreams, by Michael Allred, Steve Horton, Laura Allred
While the storyline is a little hard to follow, it's about a specific moment in time when bowie started exploring one of his most iconic characters. And honestly the art makes up for the discombobulation.
Actually a great biography in comic book form. Touching on other music happenings at the time of each Bowie event.
Allred’s art really captures Bowie so well! So vibrant and beautiful! ⚡️
Objectively speaking, story-wise it's quite meh, even poorly constructed (it suffers from trying to cram WAY too much in, and entirely lacks focus). The writing is average at best. AND YET, THE ART IS SO BEAUTIFUL AND INSPIRED IT MAKES EVERY PAGE WORTH IT. A visually stunning passion project from Bowie fans for Bowie fans.
