Didn't like any of the potential love interests in this book but the landscape made up for that.

This was a book that grew on me the more I read. Just a pure, innocent romance. And I loved how she wrote about the Scottish islands. Made me want to hop the next plane.

I've spent time in Scotland. Traveling the lands of my heritage with my grandmother, I fell in love with the beauty, they joy and more well-considered life of the the mainland and the islands. This book brought me right back to the wondering, musing on the highlanders and islanders who came before me. I loved Flora's inner concern and her love as it blossomed for all she had and had stopped appreciating.
The book is thoughtful, fun and welcoming.

hard one to rate- enjoyed the experience of reading, loved the setting, the fantastic Scottish narration, the reconnection with family, the local characters....but couldn't believe the one Colgan went with as the love interest because he had so many red flags. I'll just rewrite it in my head to end up with the right guy.

What a happy surprise this book was. I won a copy in a giveaway and was not sure how I would like it. I loved the title and cover, but had never read this author before. Happily, It was a fantastic summer read, beautiful locations, amazing characters, food and events. I loved them all, would want any of them over for tea. This book was not really about the romance it was about finding you in your world. Set in a mythical N. Scottish Island, small town, hard working honest people, and it's weather. The MC is a young woman who left to pursue her career as a lawyer in London after her mother died. She thought she'd never be back on the island till her job takes her there for a visit. Oh and she cooks delicious sounding dishes which this lovely author included at the end of the book. I'm making at least two of them.
I can't wait to read more from this author

Really liked some parts and others painful or too predictable. Summer read. Have enjoyed other summer books by this author but not so much this one.

Well she ended up with the wrong guy but other than that I loved it. A love story that will give you wanderlust and possibly make you hungry.
