Reread for me so I can finally get closure from the 2019 cliffhanger!

Wow, what a start to a sci fi epic. No taboos here, and it kinda reminds me of Heavy Metal 2000, without the heavy metal and more laughs. You are rooting for Marko and Alana the whole way (so far) and the artwork and pacing is great. I can't wait to read more.

OMG give me volume 2!!! [grabby hands]

I'd really say more 2.5, but I'll round up to 3 for the inventiveness of the author. The world of robots and aliens and giant cat creatures was interesting. The main problem is that I just didn't find the main characters likable at all and I felt there was too much gratuitousness here: lots of unnecessary sex scenes, swearing, violence, and general unpleasantness for unpleasantness' sake. It kind of embodies what I find most annoying about "adult" graphic novels in that they usually try too hard to be edgy and lose most aspects of fun. I guess I've just been spoiled to this type of kitchen-sink science-fantasy by Guardians of the Galaxy.

this is not a book to read before going to bed

جزو اولین تجربه‌هام از کمیک استریپه و دارم ازش لذت میبرم. امیدوارم جلد‌های بعدیش هم همین روند خوب رو ادامه بدن!!

Well, there really is not much that can prepare you for the trip into Brian K. Vaughn and Fiona Staples universe. There is a Romeo and Juliet style romance between members of two warring factions, but outside of that common plot staple, everything else is nothing you have ever thought of. I had been hearing that Saga was widely considered one of the best titles in recent comic history. I can see why, and I am anxious to check out more.
