Image Comics make me smile with their vast and huge catalogue of titles, and Saga is one of their better known series'. This book was so much fun. Very adult, violent and weird, it follows two races whose people are at odd's with one another, who have a child together and attempt to escape those seeking them while avoiding the war that is destroying the planet around them. It's wonderfully crazy, and the art is beautiful. I will be quickly moving on to Volume 2 after having such a blast with the first.

Wow, what a lovely and unexpected journey! This bizarre sci-fi tale follows a family caught between opposing sides of a war, with everyone else determined to see them dead.
The illustrations are gorgeous, the characters and storylines are engaging, and the world-building is so unique. I’m excited to get into the next volume to see what happens next!

This was very interesting!
I'm a bit late on the Saga train, but I'm here now and I quite enjoyed the first volume. I enjoy the amount of worldbuilding that was going on in the background of the story, and I'm very excited to see more of Alana, Marco, Hazel and Izabel in the next one! The writing was compelling, the characters are already relatively complex and the plot has me hooked already.
