I took turns reading this with my 1st grader and it was so cute! The story follows Kitty, whose mom is a super hero with cat powers, on an adventure where she discovers she can also be brave and use cat powers just like her mom. I liked the emphasis on how it is okay to be scared and bravery is about helping anyway.
Oh my gosh, the pictures are so cute! There were a few times where I was staring at the pictures and my daughter had to tell me to stop so we could read the story. It is definitely a good transition to a novel type book, as up to now, she has only wanted to read graphic novels like DogMan or Unicorn/Owl Diaries and was intimidated when I have tried to get her to read something with a full page of text.
She has already asked for the next book. ☺️

Just adorable! A girl with cat superpowers (just like her mom) to the rescue along with the cutest cats to help! Very sweet!

This one was an unusual one. I picked this up a year ago at our local bookshop because I hadn’t read a kid’s book in a long time and it looked Halloween-y. Well, it isn’t very Halloween despite the colors. But the illustration style is gorgeous. It’s a very cute, charming story.

I loved the illustrations, the art-style and that some pages are dark because it plays at night! Also such a wonderful message for kids who are afraid of the dark.
I'll definitely be getting the other volumes!
Wondering though, why is Kitty faced to the right on the english (original) cover, but to the left in almost every other language?

Ich liebe die Illustrationen, den Zeichenstil und dass manche Seiten dunkel sind, weil es nachts spielt! Außerdem eine tolle Message für Kinder, die sich im Dunkeln fürchten.
Ich werd mir die anderen Bände auf jeden Fall auch holen!
Frag mich nur, warum Kitty auf dem englischen (originalen) Cover nach rechts läuft, aber in fast allen anderen Sprachen nach links?
