I thought the prose was well done, and very vivid and vibrant. There felt like there was a little too much going on, and it all made sense at the end but I felt like there was a little too much pushed under the rug with the main plot. I liked June a lot, and I understood her fears and worries. I really liked her and Eamon together, though I found it frustrated at times when he didn’t trust her
because she wasn’t ‘his’ June… because she is? She just doesn’t have all the same memories?
I liked the threads that tied through the whole book but at some points, I think it was just the plot of the book that made it a little messy. Some threads (even if I liked them!) were a little too obvious, but I did listen to the audiobook so that might have changed somethings.

For any interested audio listeners, I thought the narrator did a pretty great job, but sometimes I felt like she had a hard time with Eamon’s voice.

Overall a good time. Very interesting concept, and I loved the ending. Just a little bit disjointed in execution. I would be open to reading more from Adrienne Young.

What a beautiful book. Reading June’s journey was an emotional roller coaster. I rooted for her the whole way. Adrienne Young did not disappoint.

This book was captivating from the start. The story pulled me in and kept me eager for whatever came next. I wanted to learn the truth, same as our main character, and we weren't really sure which truth we were after just that we needed it, no matter what. Secrets usually hide more secrets leaving plenty of truth to uncover in this wonderfully plotted mystery which leaves you a bit unsure what is real. Is June mad or are the rules of reality just a bit different for her family and their magical flower farm? And can you ever really know someone? Spend some time with the Farrows in the fictional small town of Jasper where the locals might be friendly, but only if you fit the norm. This story has a magical flower farm, love, friendship, non-linear storytelling/alternating timelines and a well done mystery to unravel.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for giving me a free eARC in exchange for an honest review.
4.5 stars! I am such a fan of the way Adrienne Young writes YA, and I loved my first adult book from her. In the town of Jasper near the Blue Ridge Mountains, the Farrow women are cursed with a descending madness that June Farrow cannot explain. “Every woman in the Farrow family was different, but the end was always the same.” “We were the limbs of a broken tree with poisoned roots.” June is determined to be the last Farrow, but an opportunity to solve her mother’s disappearance and change her fate sends her into the unknown.
The writing in this is so stunning and I loved the mystery and romance woven into this story. I love when a book can be both heavy on the vibes and atmosphere of the story and still have such an intriguing and engaging plot; I’ve truly not read a story like this before, it was so beautiful!
