Following a Mulism convention, four kids cross paths in the airport as their flights are delayed due to a thunderstorm.

Reminiscent of You Are Here (another middle grade anthology featured in an airport), we see how the lives of four kids (+ a little sister) weave together as they search for a missing cat. I loved seeing friendships develop and how the book explores anxiety, Muslim identity (lack thereof, mixed backgrounds, etc), family dynamics and expectations, questioning a parent you idolized, and more. Overall, this was a fun read about airport shenanigans that showcased a variety of experiences and Muslim voices!

I've already read so many middlegrade books this year and I'm having a blast with them. This was such a cute one, and I loved how the authors worked together to create one overarching story. Everything felt really cohesive and I loved how every character went through their own development.
