Now, why, why, why did I have to read this?

Was it because it was so damn hard to find? That really should’ve clued me in.

I only read one of the four stories so I'm not rating this book. I did like the short story by Charlaine Harris. No Sookie Stackhouse, but bring the Britlingens back. I think I like them better than Sookie anyway.

4 stars... just for Angel's Judgment *g*

For Ilona Andrews, I just read one of her book [b:On the Edge|6329547|On the Edge (The Edge, #1)|Ilona Andrews|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1307445575s/6329547.jpg|6515186], so I pass Magic Mourns, because it part of Kate Daniels series, and I'm not read it yet (but I will. Soon)

For Meljean Brooks, I'd read her Guardian series and [b:The Iron Duke|7864587|The Iron Duke (Iron Seas, #1)|Meljean Brook|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1312522759s/7864587.jpg|11022865], but I can't connect with her writing style, so I pass her story too.

For Charlaine Harris, not big fans of her Sookie series, why I read her story? :P

Anyway, I admit that I'm crazy about Guild Hunter series now (found myself re-read Archangel's Kiss again and again, while my TBR get higher and higher, and Goodreads always mocking me "you left bla bla bla books behind), so I smack my head, when I know I'm not read the novella yet.

Angel's Judgment is prequel too, like [b:Angels' Pawn|8910316|Angels' Pawn|Nalini Singh|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1282655617s/8910316.jpg|6460567]. Sara Haziz, a Guild Hunter, was chosen as New Guild Director. Before she accept that role, she must face a test from Cadre of Ten, the group of Archangel who rule all angels and vampires. But she's not alone to face that test.

Meet Deacon, the bogeyman of Guild Hunter, known as "Slayer". Not just face the test, but Sara and Deacon must investigated a case, when they suspect one of their comrade maybe go hunting and killing vampire. They have 3 suspect, but get surprised when they know who the culprit was. And want it or not, Sara must accept her role as Guild Director, but she want Deacon at her side too.

While this novella not too short as Angel's Pawn, I feel attraction between Sara and Deacon is too fast and rushed. Maybe because this one is novella, so everything must be fast? I don't know, but still there are lot of action, steamy and loving scene. We get a glimpse about Raphael and Elena, before they meet of course.

In the beginning of this novella, there is chapter "Cadre of Ten", and we get know more about Cadre (minus Uram, that perhaps reader know, already lost to madness). It seems that Raphael was intrigued to Elena from the first time, and the rest of story are tell in [b:Angels' Blood|8909814|Angels' Blood (Guild Hunter, #1)|Nalini Singh|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1283452114s/8909814.jpg|3863622]

One more thing, is the hellhound just an accessories in this story? I expect some act from the hellhound, other than just become a pet, IMO.

This is the second time I've read parts of this book. The first time I read a short in this same book by Nalini Singh that is part of her Guild Hunter series and as usual a great story. This time it was one of Ilona Andrews shorts. This one was centered on Andrea and Raphael and again a great story. There are two more stories in this book. One is by Maljean Brooks. Haven't read any of her books but I have a couple of hers on my wish list so maybe I'll have to get back to this book if I find I like her series. Last is Charlene Harris who writes the Stookie books. now thanks.

Went through this again, this time the whole book because one of my favorite narrators was doing the audio. I'm going to have to make an effort to read Meljean Brook Guardian series. I'd forgotten how much I like her writing as I've read all her Iron Seas.

I usually like Charlene Harris's books but this one didn't do much for me.

Of course I loved the one by Nalini Singh and Ilona Andrews.

Read the Kate Daniel's section and was thoroughly entertained. The fight scenes are so good in those books.

I haven't read any of the Kate Daniels series, but I heard that this novella about Andrea and Raphael was great, so I had to read it.
