The most self indulgent memoir. As it turns out I really DO NOT care for David Eggers which I knew but tried to put aside for this but I couldn’t do it.

Wild stream of consciousness. Outstanding narration conveys the author’s frenetic frame of mind.
Sometimes tiring and a few questionable cultural/racial references, but otherwise a memoir unique in its delivery.

Some excellent moments in here, and a smart ending. Interesting to read after Crying in Hmart, which I think does a more sensitive job of unpacking challenging parent-child relationships.

I wish I could give zero stars, but that might imply indifference—this is a warning. There are countless better ways to spend your time than reading this book. Consider this your cue to skip it entirely.
