I've always found the development of languages fascinating, so I saw this book and had to read it. This focuses more so on vocabulary for specific things (wildlife, foods, time, etc.). Videen does go into some how the words would change or develop. Some words need speculation on their meaning, as there was only one mention or a few mentions of that word. I found this really fascinating, and it itched that language lover part of my brain. Had a great time reading this.
