One of my favorite books of all time! Anne Rice is a spectacular writer and this entire story was a page turner for me. I LOVED every moment of reading this book and it is an easy 5 star for me.

Of all the Anne Rice books, I think this one's my ultimate favorite. Would love to see this as a movie
I loved the book, couldn't put it down. I just wish that the ending was better.
One of my favorite - as another reviewer called it - bodice rippers. I still own a tattered paperback that I've read a bunch of times, and definitely prefer this book to the Interview with a Vampire series, of which I couldn't even get through the first one. Sexy historical fiction with a great dash of dangerous thriller. Probably would have to call it a guilty pleasure? Not everything can be great literature, but this at least is a great book!
