Knowing Kye throughout the series, I seriously thought this book would annoy me but oh my, the swooning!

Genesis and Kye are childhood friends and Kye is so protective and loves her so much. I really loved their story and how it all came together.
The audio was so good. This is performed in a duet by Jacob Morgan and Juno Cooper they both were amazing. Highly recommend the audios for this series.

i had zero interest in this fringe character who was introduced to provide a potential distraction to previous 'females' and a partner for the other mafia bros during threesomes. so i have to applaud and ultimately increase the score when abbi actually intrigued me with the background storytelling about his childhood best friend, who is the love of his life. it didn't make sense and wasn't actually romantic in the slightest, but i was rooting for these kids (to leave the mafia)! this is also a rare slip for abbi to allow for a surprise baby to infiltrate the OTP's relationship, which was handled with only the mildest of nausea when she'd use the infant as a set up for a porn scene. i also thoroughly enjoyed the careful construction of the opposing male interest - the computer geek, fraternity brother, vegan who likes his family and doesn't like the mafia! the extra star alone could be from the unintentional hilarity of abbi having the man hate on the baby being named 'jagger' when his name is 'bowie'. if she realized she would have added five sentences about it.

This was an amazing friends to lovers romance. I loved the structure of the book and I really felt like I experienced every moment of Genesis and Kye’s friendship. I fell in love with Kye right alongside with Genesis and I definitely understood why she belonged with him. I couldn’t get enough of the two together. The storyline was really entertaining and I wasn’t all for it.
