Oh my Nokley, I took a trip down memory lane with these graphic novel adaptions.

The BSC changed my life in the 5th and 6th grade. My friends and I would coordinate so that we could read all of the books. I remember writing to Ann M. Martin to get her autograph. I thought it was amazing that she actually responded to me! I loved that Kristi's little sister got her own spin off series! I had the first four and I would read those over and over. :)

Karen wants to form a club, and her two friends in Dad's neighborhood both have cats. So they form the Kittycat Club. Modeling after Kristy's BSC, they make it a cat-sitting club. But don't get any customers because no one wants a six-year-old to cat-sit. So Karen makes a new club just to have fun. Seems a little much for a 6-year-old to even make it as far as she did forming this club, making flyers, etc.

I would rather in a kittycat club then be a babysitter.
Karens onto something with this one.

When you were too old for childrens books, but too young for The Baby Sitters Club.
Ann M. Martin really is a genius to piggy back on the success of The Baby Sitters Club.

After reading the little sisters series I remember feeling like a real adult opening up that first BSC book.

Ah, Karen. I was never your target demo and I'm still not, though I will say I have never related more than when you decided that your club should be about cats and should have cats attend the meetings because KITTIES.

If you're new to the Little Sister series, enjoy. If you're an adult, take a shot each time a character has changed looks from the originals and kiss your liver goodbye. Or join me in wondering Why The Actual Heck Nancy is no longer a redhead. Seriously, since Amanda got changed to a brunette (so many questions, so few answers, and absolutely no desire to look it up and see if a comment was made explaining it) it's not like we needed to change the redhead to a brunette. Seriously, I will not stand for this redhead erasure, dammit!
