Very different from the musical, though I can see where they got things from. Very focused on the politics of Oz. Distressing in places with death. Also a bit racist.

Darn! I LOVED the musical for this and I was so excited to jump into the book finally and watch the movie after. However, I just could not get into it. I knew it was time to stop when the goat died and I did not even care. 🫣😣 Still going to watch the film though!
