Margaret Peterson Haddix has done it again. Luke ends up meeting "his" brother and parents. This brings more problems for Luke. Its a great book and I can't wait to read the next one.
beginning was great, end was ok. Climax was rushed/confusing.
Absolutely loved the ending.
Luke is safe. He saves Smits. And he's even able to give Smits parents that will take care of him

Shadow Children, book four.
Luke (aka Lee Grant) is settling into his new identity and things are looking up. That is, until Lee's younger brother decides to join Luke at school. The lies and muddled motivations get deeper and deeper and the plot continues to get even twistier. Just when Luke thinks he knows who he can trust, his world is once again turned upside down.

This is the fourth in the series. Luke, who was the main character of the first two books, has trouble at his new school. Everything was going great, when the brother of the dead boy whose identity he is using, enrolled at school. Now he not only has to use Lee Grant's name, he actually has to pretend to BE Lee Grant. But there are deeper forces at work, and Luke/Lee will soon be in danger yet again. Luke learns not to judge people by appearances. He develops a great deal of compassion for his "brother," Smits. He learns that there are some people he really can count on. This was a good book, but of the six series books I've read, this is probably my least favorite.
