It was slow, and to begin with that was cool - I was constantly on edge wondering what would go wrong; but it kinda got dragged out and there wasn’t as many plot twists as I was expecting. It was good, but not great, and probably a little forgettable.

Maybe my expectations were high but I really thought that I would like this book, based off of the blurb. It was too slow paced and a small portion of the very few plot twists were unexpected. The cliffhanger seemed unnecessary, but there were some good suspense scenes. I liked one out of four characters so I don't know what that says about it.

This one took me for a trip, and I’m still trying to wrap my head around that ending. Like… we’re just gonna end there?! Very nice, Phoebe. Very nice. 👏
The suspense was intense, and the story was hard to put down—I was hooked the entire time. The multiple POVs added layers to the mystery, but I personally struggle with them, so it wasn’t my favorite storytelling style. That said, the twists kept me engaged, and the book stuck with me even after I finished.
Would I recommend it? Yep! If you love thrillers with shifting perspectives and shocking endings, this one is worth the read. Just be ready to question everything when you turn that last page!
