This book is clearly for boring white girls who dream of home wrecking a famous persons life. If that’s you then yeah this books for you. Boring characters and plot and it goes nowhere it’s like a sad list of white people bullshit and facts.

Love the innovative format. Really hated the characters and had no sympathy for them.* But honestly, I'm not a TJR fan. This was my third and last book of hers. I understand why the hype--it's the format and the idea of the story. And maybe the execution, but I really hated reading this and was happy to be done. I just don't care about these people. I do not care about celebrities in my real life and don't care about them in my reading life. 

*I watched the TV show based on this hoping to love it more. Nope. Though I thought the actors did an amazing job.

I haven't read something like this book before, in the documentary/interview layout style of writing, and I loved it! The characters were so real to me, by the end of the book I felt like I just about believed that Daisy Jones and the Six must be a real band, surely! I loved the music descriptions and the lyrics that were interspersed throughout. This authors way with words is so beautiful, there were lines that I would read, and have to stop and re-read them, because they were so poetic and would hit me harder than I thought they would initially. It's a definite book that I want to buy a copy of to re-read in the years to come.

I enjoyed this ride down memory lane with Daisy Jones and the Six! This book is beautifully written with the different point of views. I loved the way the author took us on the emotional ride of a music group. It felt like I was watching an interview with a popular group and they were recollecting on their rise to fame. I enjoyed this book from beginning to end. I hope the miniseries is as good as the book!

A page-turner recounting the rise and fall of a fictional 70's rock band, told in a documentary/interview format from the perspectives of the band's members as they cope with fame, control, addiction, and love.

Taylor Jenkins Reid knows how to write books that you can't put down. This story was intriguing from the very beginning and drew me in as I wanted to learn more about how the band eventually disbanded. I was not disappointed, as the story was full of love, drama, betrayal, hope, and more. The two main characters- Daisy and Billy- are both very complex but not unloveable. You can clearly see the way they both yearn for love and control over the chaos of their lives, as well as the ways they are so similar despite their feuds. The format of the book makes it easy to envision the story as a real documentary and I enjoyed getting to see events unfold from various different perspectives, with each character being a sort of unreliable narrator in their own right.
