I found the narrative not centring Daisy towards the end a lil disappointing but the perspective of a young artist beautiful.
the twist at the end made it feel like the plot of how I met your mother like this guy was a jerk why do we care again? But at the same time it brought tears to my eyes and made me want to reread it so unconvlusive feelings< /spoiler>

This is the first time I have read a book in this type of interview formatting and I found it interesting. It was hard and confusing to get into at first as I was listening to it but slowly I got the hang of it and familiarised myself with the casts’ voice. I liked the storyline and how it is very much character driven and the characters have great developments throughout the story and I liked how they have real problems that real musicians may be experiencing in their careers. If I’m a musician, I would feel seen and less alone when reading this book.
I did not rate it higher as this type of realism genre is not my go-to genre. I prefer more plot-driven novel. However, I can recognise and appreciate the comfort and elements of this type of genre provide. It is a great story overall.

"I think you have to have faith in people before they earn it. Otherwise it's not faith, right? (Camilla p.76)

So many great quotes and just passages about so much in life, that I understand know but probably will understand further along in life and I can't wait for those "aha"- moments. A great book that kept me wanting to pick it up again and again. The characters are amazingly written and very memorable. A great first TJR read and I can't wait to discover more of her work!

Definitely entertaining as an audiobook, but the story was pretty predictable and left me with the "Oh, that was it?" feeling. Nonetheless, I'm excited to watch the television show!
