First things first: I downloaded this as a free e-book from (I think) Project Gutenberg, and have actually been reading this for a while on an on-and-off basis - able to do so as this is really a collection of short stories rather than a novel in its own right.

It's also not hard to see why Sherlock Holmes is such a popular character: the mysteries are all entertaining, while the prose is not so dense as to be off-putting to the more casual reader.

cerita yang paling aku suka dari semuanya adalah :

• skandal di bohemia : karena di cerita ini ada irene adler, salah satu karakter perempuan favoritku dari buku-buku yang pernah kubaca
• lima butir biji jeruk : aku suka banget cara sherlock memecahkan kasus ini, dan kasusnya juga sangat unik
• petualangan di copper beecher : nuansa thrillernya sangat terasa, walau penyelesaiannya terasa dipercepat.

Unlike some classics, this was easy to read and so entertaining. This is one of the few short story collections where I genuinely enjoyed every story.

The reading was really interesting especially the fact that we can also search for clues on our own! I thought it was quite entertaining for that reason, also thought it was funny and honestly it’s a piece of art that everyone should read in my opinion, or atleast try to see if you like it!!
